Tonya is a Certified Trainer with the Jack Canfield Success Principles Program specializing in Breakthroughs to Success. She is a 2017 graduate of Leadership Greater Jackson. She is also the 2017 Heart Survivor for the American Heart Association – Jackson, MS. Pastor Tonya advocated for the American Heart Association on Capitol Hill, which aided in bringing multi-millions of dollars to the state for heart health care.
Pastor Tonya is a gifted and sought out Master teacher, speaker, and performer. Her transparency attracts people of all cultures, races, and lifestyles, and she finds her joy in empowering others. She was named 2017 (first female) Pastor of the Year by the MS Gospel Music Awards. In June 2018, she delivered her first speech at the United Nations Global Entrepreneurship Forum in New York. In August 2018, she was named one of the “Top 50 Business Women of Mississippi,” “Woman of Achievement of the Year” by Women for Progress, and “Iconic Woman Making a Better World for All” by the Women’s Economic Forum in Los Angeles, California.
In 2019, she was awarded the Change Champion Award by NAMI MS. In July 2019, she released her new album, Signature of God: Volume 1, and completed a 30-venue tour. Her passion for transformational leadership is evident in her work with the R.E.D. Women’s Program, The Theater of Possibilities, Leadership Greater Jackson, the Greater Jackson Chamber Partnership, Women For Progress, the American Heart Association, and the Women’s Business Network. In her current role, Tonya is the State Project Director for ReadyNation. She leads the state of Mississippi’s Early Childhood Investment Council, a coalition of the state’s senior business executives focused on workforce success through investments in early childhood education.
In 2021, she completed the Yale University School of Management – Women in Leadership Executive Program. In 2022, she expanded her work with The Theater of Possibilities by launching a Youth Leadership and Youth Entrepreneurship Program to combat youth crime, youth drug abuse, youth obesity, and youth suicide in the city of Jackson. In July 2022, she released her most recent book, “Healing the Woman’s Soul.” She is most proud to be the wife of Bishop Adrian Ware and mother to daughters Wisdom and Wealth Ware.
